3 Arrested In Birmingham Truck Stop Thefts

According to a news report, the thefts would take place while the truck drivers would be sleeping.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Birmingham police arrested three people in connection with a string of thefts targeting truck stops, according to a news report in AL.com.

According to the report, the break-ins happened in recent months at the Pilot and Citgo truck stops on Bankhead Highway. The suspects would break into delivery truck trailers and steal goods while the drivers would be sleeping, AL.com reported.

Police arrested Erick Taylor, 40, of Afamsville on Sept. 24 and charged him unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle. Police also arrested Quinton Babbs, 42, and charged him receiving stolen property.

A third arrest was made on Wednesday. Patricia Brown, 51, of Birmingham was charged with first-degree receiving stolen property, marijuana possession and attempting to traffic cocaine.
