Avondale Park Cleanup Set For Saturday
A cleanup event at Avondale Park is set for Saturday, and volunteers are needed to help pick up trash and do light landscaping.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — In an effort to improve Avondale Park, the Friends of Avondale Park organization has scheduled a cleanup event for Saturday. The event begins at 8 a.m.
Tasks involved in the cleanup include picking up trash and planting flowers and shrubs throughout the park.
Volunteers are asked to wear gloves, and trash bags and grabbers will be provided. Participants are asked to meet at 8 a.m. at the rose garden.
