Birmingham Area High School Football Scores: Playoffs Round 3

BIRMINGHAM, AL — The Alabama High School Athletic Association's football playoffs continue this week, with multiple Birmingham metro schools still alive in the championship hunt.

This week, key match-ups include 7A powerhouses Thompson and Hoover in a rematch of their dramatic game in October, won by Hoover 24-21.

The 6A defending champions, Pinson Valley, will host Mountain Brook in a rematch of last year's state semifinal game. And the top ranked 6A team in the state, Clay-Chalkville, plays Gardendale.
