Birmingham Area Teachers Honored By Alexander Shunnarah

Six teachers in the Birmingham metro were named Teachers of the Month by attorney Alexander Shunnarah, and shared his billboards with him.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Alabama attorney Alexander Shunnarah, known for his billboards that adorn the state's roadways, honored six Birmingham-area teachers by sharing one of his famous billboards with them, as they were named Teacher of the Month.

Every month, Alexander Shunnarah celebrates five teachers across the U.S. and gives them a $500 American Express gift card and displays their photo on an Alexander Shunnarah digital billboard for a day.

    • Math Teacher at Woodlawn High School
  • Jacob Roop - Alabaster
    • 11th grade English Teacher at Thompson High School
  • Willie Davis - Bessemer
    • 3rd grade Teacher at Charles F. Hard Elementary School

Since the initiative began in September 2019, Shunnarah's firm has received thousands of submissions of deserving teachers who are making a difference. This year, Shunnarah expanded and increased the initiative to reach and celebrate more deserving teachers across the country.

"As the firm expands nationally, it’s time our community impact does, too.
