Birmingham Boy, 10, Riding Minibike Dies After Car Hits Him: Reports
Marquis Bell, who attended school in Hueytown, was hit by a car around 2 p.m. Tuesday. He died several hours later.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A 10-year-old boy is dead after he was hit by a car while riding a minibike in Birmingham, according to reports citing the Jefferson County coroner.
Marquis Bell, who attended school in Hueytown, was riding in the 3500 block of Charles Street around 2 p.m. Tuesday when he was hit, WBRC reported.
According to a report by AL.com, the minibike was lodged under the front of the small sedan following the accident. The driver of the car remained on the scene and was "visibly distraught," the newspaper reported.

Bell was taken to the hospital and died several hours later, WBRC reported.
