Christmas Day Shooting In Ensley: 22-Year-Old Man Dead
A 22-year-old man was killed in a shooting on Christmas Day in west Birmingham.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A shooting in west Birmingham Christmas Day claimed the life of a 22-year-old man. The shooting occurred just after 11 p.m. at 40th Street Grocery in Ensley.
Officer Truman Fitzgerald of the Birmingham Police Department said Donvan Mykal Cash was found unresponsive at the entrance of the store and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police do not know if Cash was targeted or if the shooting was random. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Birmingham PD Homicide Unit at 205-254-1764.
