City Of Birmingham To Host Hurricane Ida Supply Drive At Boutwell Auditorium On Sept. 7 – 10

Volunteers with the World Games, Birmingham Squadron, Birmingham Fire and Rescue and the City of Birmingham will assist with collections.

Birmingham, AL – The City of Birmingham will host a supply drive for Hurricane Ida survivors at Boutwell Auditorium, Sept. 7 -10. Volunteers will be on site from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hundreds of families were affected by the weather last week, and Mayor Randall L. Woodfin said he hopes that items collected will assist people in clean-up and recovery efforts.

Volunteers with the World Games, Birmingham Squadron, Birmingham Fire and Rescue and the City of Birmingham will assist with collections. Volunteers will remove items from donors’ vehicles when motorists pull in front of the Boutwell.

Clothes will NOT be accepted.

  • shovels
  • bottled water
  • sunscreen
  • tarps in all sizes
  • heavy duty garden rakes
  • work gloves
  • hammers
  • whistles
  • toilet paper
  • paper towels
  • cleaning supplies
  • masks
  • baby and adult diapers
  • disinfectant
  • heavy duty trash bags
  • canned goods and individually wrapped snacks
  • flashlights
  • batteries
  • ponchos
