City Of Birmingham To Spend Nearly $7 Million On Street Paving Plan

More than 200 streets have been identified for the current resurfacing phase.

Birmingham, AL – Mayor Randall L. Woodfin praised the Birmingham City Council’s approval of nearly $7 million for street resurfacing in the current fiscal year. More than 200 streets have been identified for the current resurfacing phase.

“I want to thank the council for working alongside me as we continue our commitment to invest in the infrastructure needs of our neighborhoods,” Mayor Woodfin said. “I look forward to seeing work begin to improve the streets in each of our nine council districts.”

Dunn Construction Company submitted the winning bid of $6,990,665. MBE/DBE subcontractors will receive a total of $1.7 million from the contract. Those firms include Kelly Roadbuilders and Town Creek Land and Timber.
