- Do you have old electronics you want to throw away? The Birmingham Zoo will be hosting a free Electronics Recycling Day on Jan. 28. From 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (or until capacity), residents can drop off everything from printers and fax machines to hair dryers, irons, and rechargeable batteries. - On Tuesday, a man succumbed to his injuries caused by a house fire, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office. Jesse Gaddy, 79, of Birmingham, was rescued by Birmingham Fire and Rescue during a house fire Sunday on Cotton Avenue and taken to a local hospital. Gaddy died from his injuries on Tuesday at around 8:45 p.m. (WIAT - CBS42.com)
- The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing 36-year-old woman last seen on Jade Lake Road. Courtney Michele Williams was in Jefferson County on Tuesday and is described as white with brown eyes and hair. She is 5 feet 4 inches and weighs around 125 pounds.
