BIRMINGHAM, AL — A wet and stormy week this past week had weather taking the forefront this past week in the Birmingham metro, as severe storms and major flooding swept through the area. The flooding resulted in two fatalities.

Also in the news this past week, three incumbent city leaders lost their bids for re-election in the Birmingham municipal runoff elections Tuesday.
