  1. Former Birmingham meteorologist, Dennis Washington, has died at 49. Washington, who worked at Birmingham’s WBRC Fox 6 for nearly 18 years as a meteorologist, died on Tuesday after a battle with Leukemia. Former coworkers and friends paid tribute to Washington on social media. (AL.com)
  2. The UAB Health System is adding another Alabama hospital to its network of a dozen affiliate hospitals. The Health Care Authority of the City of Anniston (RMC) recently signed a non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) to become an affiliate of the UAB Health System. “An affiliation with UAB will help ensure we can continue to meet the healthcare needs of our friends, family, and neighbors in Northeast Alabama for years to come,” said Jay Jenkins, Chair of the RMC Board of Directors in UAB’s press release.   3. Ladybird Taco has made its way to the Magic City area, as well as four other new and coming soon businesses. From coffee and breakfast tacos to mouthwatering queso, the Nashville-born taco hotspot truly has it all. Ladybird Taco is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at its new location at 300 Rele St in nearby Mountain Brook. (Bham Now)
