Gas Leak At Parker High School Prompts Evacuation
Students at Parker High School have been sent home today while workers repair a gas leak at the school.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A gas leak at Birmingham's Parker High School prompted officials to send students home for the day Monday. Students will learn remotely while the leak is being repaired, according to a WBRC report.
The school, located at 400 Reverend Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd., has a student body of more than 650 students.
Officials were unable to provide an estimate for how long the repairs would take, or what caused the leak.
