Here are the top three stories today in Birmingham:
- The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has identified the human remains that were discovered in an east Birmingham trash pile on Sunday. The remains belong to Jeramy Dean Hallmon, 38 years old. Hallmon lived in a home near the location where his remains were located. He had been missing since November. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has not yet determined the cause or manner of death. (AL.com)
- The Winter Edition of Birmingham Restaurant Week 2023 will continue through this Saturday. The week-long celebration is meant to highlight and feature the metro area's best restaurants, food trucks, and bars. This is the thirteenth year that Birmingham Restaurant Week has been in operation. Click for additional information on voting, events, and participating restaurants. (Village Living)
- Portions of downtown Birmingham closed yesterday for a movie shoot. The closures impacted 23rd Street North at 1st Avenue North, 2nd Avenue North, and 3rd Avenue North. The movie shoot was for the film "The Shift." The roads have since reopened. (Alabama's News Leader)
