Man Found Dead At Avondale Park Identified, No Foul Play Involved

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A man found dead on a bench at Avondale Park Wednesday morning has been identified as Wallace David Fine, 67, of Birmingham. Fine was discovered dead just after 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Although police initially said Fine had died from a single gunshot wound, reports now say that is not the case.

Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said the examination revealed no evidence of foul play.

"The circumstances surrounding the death are being investigated by the Birmingham Police Department," Yates said in a statement.
