Manhunt Is On For Man Accused Of Killing 3, Injuring 1: Police

DECATUR, AL — Authorities say a man wanted in the shooting deaths of three people Sunday in Danville is dangerous and might be armed, and are warning people not to approach him if he's spotted in public.

Decatur police say they've determined that Carson Ray Peters is a suspect in a triple shooting Sunday night on Flint Creek Private Drive in Danville.

According to a WHNT report, authorities were sent to Flint Creek Private Drive just before 7 p.m. Sunday on a report of a shooting. Authorities said they found three people shot and killed. A fourth person was injured and transported via Air Evac to Huntsville for emergency treatment, police said.

The Morgan County Sheriff's office said authorities conducted a search of the entire area for the shooter, as officers searched on the ground and from the air.

Authorities say people should call Morgan County 911 if they see anything unusual. Decatur Police say anyone has any information or can provide any assistance in locating Peters should call Detective Sean Mukaddam at 256-341-4617 or email at smukaddam@decatur-al.gov.
