BIRMINGHAM, AL — Waiting on a train to pass at a crossing can be irritating, but for residents in West End, the wait has been for days at a time. Local business owners say two trains have been parked in the Jefferson Avenue and 24th Street Southwest intersection since Tuesday, according to ABC 33/40.

"I usually have customers crossing the tracks on a daily basis and people just stop and ask frequent questions about their cars," business owner Jerry Poole told ABC 33/40. "Most of the time they get them fixed, but now I don't really see that many people. The train is always blocking the tracks."

The Federal Railroad Administration says after getting three or more reports at the same crossing, they send people out to figure out the problem.
