🌱 Veterans Day Parade + Infrastructure Bill's Effect On Alabama
Welcome to the Birmingham Daily! This is your source for everything going on in the area.

Get on up, Birmingham! Here's everything you need to know to get this Tuesday started off right. I'll start with a statewide — or, really, a national — story, regarding the U.S. House of Representatives infrastructure bill that passed over the weekend. There are specific perks for Alabama, but not all of the state's delegation in Washington are in favor of the bill. Also in the news, the nation's oldest Veterans Day celebration is in Birmingham, and the parade is set for Nov. 11 rain or shine. Read all about it below.
First, today's weather:
Partly sunny and nice. High: 75 Low: 48.

About me: I am a lifelong Alabama resident with more than two decades of media under my belt. I have worked for a daily newspaper, a weekly newspaper, a monthly magazine, a television station and a couple of radio stations. I also tried my hand at marketing for a little while. But I love writing news. This opportunity to bring Patch to Birmingham is a chance for my hometown to benefit from a new - and better - way to read and receive news.
