BIRMINGHAM, AL — A new housing development is coming to north Birmingham. The Evergreen Twin Cottages between Carraway Boulevard and 25th Street North will target service workers like police officers, teachers and firefighters, according to a BhamNow report.
The development will be geared toward service workers who make 90 to 140 percent of the Birmingham-Hoover, AL area median income, which is $58,366, according to U.S. Census data.
During the first round of development, which breaks ground in just a couple of weeks, the developer will construct six semi-attached homes.
