Hoover Delays Moss Rock Preserve Land Purchase

The city's proposed $475,000 purchase of land near Hoover's Moss Rock Preserve is on hold.

HOOVER, AL — A significant real estate purchase by the City of Hoover has been placed on hold, according to reports. The Birmingham Business Journal reported that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the original March 16 vote to approve the purchase of approximately 10 acres of land near Moss Rock Preserve was tabled.

The land would be used as a buffer for the park's boulder fields and as a parking area for the 350-acre nature park.
