  1. The 40th annual Alabama Games is returning to Birmingham this June 9. It will feature everything from chess, to ultimate frisbee, to racquetball. (Bham Now)
  2. State lawmakers are considering ending Alabama's minimum 4 percent tax on groceries, which currently generates $500 million annually that goes towards an education trust budget. (CBS 42)
  3. In neighboring Homewood, thieves have been targeting mail drop boxes, stealing items left in them. Police recommend dropping anything off as close to collection time as possible. This has also been reported in other nearby cities, including Hoover and Pelham. (WVTM 13)
