Birmingham Botanical Gardens To Host Ninth Annual Southern Tales
Southern Tales ninth year will feature a storytelling by Birmingham resident Dolores Hydock.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — The Birmingham Botanical Gardens' Southern Tales will return for its ninth year on Nov. 5. This year's iteration of the event will feature a storytelling by Birmingham resident Dolores Hydock.
Hydock is a performer from Reading, Pennsylvania who has been featured at the National Storytelling Festival, and first appeared in the Gardens' event in 2009 alongside author Kathryn Tucker Windham.
Hydock will begin at 2 p.m. with a piece that focuses on time change, an appropriate topic given that Sunday, Nov. 5 is Daylight Savings.
