Birmingham Zoo Offers Christmas Tree Recycling
When the tree is ready to be taken down, where do you put it? The Birmingham Zoo wants you to bring it to them for recycling.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — When the holidays are over, and the decorations have been put away, what are people supposed to do with their Christmas trees? Well, the Birmingham Zoo wants to recycle them.
Instead of placing the tree by the street, people can drop off their trees at the construction entrance at the Birmingham Zoo from December 26–January 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The zoo has asked that people only bring bare trees — no garland, wreaths or trees with stands, lights or ornaments.
