1. This year's Children's Art Guild fashion show took place on March 7 at the Birmingham Country Club, where over 200 participants raised $40,000 for The Dance Foundation, which annually reaches more than 2,000 students in 27 schools, according to reports. (Village Living)
2. Mountain Brook's Ty Davis and Julius Clark were featured the Alabama Sports Writers Association's 2022-23 All-State High School Basketball Teams list released on Sunday, in the Class 6A first and second-team all-state, respectively. (Sports Illustrated)
3. The average local sales tax rate in Alabama is 5.25 percent–making it the highest in the country, despite having relatively low state-wide taxes. The sales tax in the Birmingham area is 10 percent, according to AL.com's analysis. (AL.com)
