Civitas Restaurant And Bar To Open In English Village
A new Southern-contemporary concept restaurant is opening in English Village this week.
MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — A new restaurant is opening this week in English Village in Mountain Brook. Civitas Restaurant and Bar is set to open Feb. 2, according to a Birmingham Business Journal report.
Local entrepreneur Tonya Jones is the owner of the new eatery, which will feature contemporary Southern fare, a menu created by executive chef Chris Melville. He is a protege of chef Frank Stitt at Birmingham's Highlands Bar and Grill.
