Duo Accused Of Burglarizing Mountain Brook Home: Cops
The burglary happened in late July in Mountain Brook, police said.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Two men have been taken into custody after burglarizing a Mountain Brook home in late July, police said.
Police said the burglary happened in the 2800 block of Pumphouse Road on July 30. The home's resident was confronted by a man inside who was stealing jewelry and other things, police said.
The resident fled the home. Cops searched the home and the surrounding area but could not find the man. However, police were able to get photos of two suspects from video surveillance.

The photos were sent to area agencies and on Aug. 2, Gardendale police said they had possibly located one of the suspects. Mountain Brook police said they were able to identify the suspect and they also recovered jewlery and other property from the location where the man was found.
According to police, the suspect was identified as William Roberts Blake, 28, of Montgomery.

Police also recovered more stolen property at a second location.
The second suspect was found on Aug. 3 with the help of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. The second suspect, identified as Jonathan Thomas Boyd, 43, of Birmingham was arrested on unrelated charges, police said.
On Aug. 4, both Blake and Boyd were charged with third-degree burglary and first-degree theft of property.
