Around 11:20 on Christmas Day, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Carson Road at Johnson Drive in Northeast Jefferson County to investigate a single vehicle automobile accident. According to reports, the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. An adult passenger and 4 children (ages unknown) were transported to UAB and Children’s Hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
