Jefferson County Sheriff's Office: Pedestrian Struck On Highway 79 In Pinson

On Sunday night around 7:30 PM, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a female stating that she believed she had struck a person dressed in dark clothing on Highway 79. Deputies went to the location, but after several hours of searching, were unable to locate a victim. Shortly after sunrise, deputies were again dispatched to the 4200 block of Pinson Valley Parkway where a body of a white male had been spotted. It is believed that the located individual is the victim from the incident reported the night before.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Detectives are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
