🌱 MB Student Named Female Runner Of The Week + Fall Festival Today

Hello, everybody. I'm back in your inbox this warm morning to walk you through the most important things happening in town. Today we have these stories and more:

• 🏃🏻‍♀️ Mountain Brook High School's Regan Riley was named Alabama Runners' female athlete of the week.
• 🥤 Clean Juice Organic Cafe is celebrating its grand opening.
• 🍁 The Aww Shucks Fall Festival is taking place today.

Here are the top three stories in Mountain Brook today:

1. Reagan Riley is Alabama Runners Mile Split's female athlete of the week. A senior at Mountain Brook High School, she recently committed to Notre Dame University. She said in an interview, "I'm not running for myself out there. I'm running for my teammates and my coaches who have all put so much time and energy into me. Putting on a Mountain Brook jersey is such a great honor [that] I hope to not take for granted my senior year." She won the girl's championship at The Southern Showcase last Saturday. 2. Clean Juice Organic Cafe celebrated its grand opening this week with a ribbon cutting event. The juice shop, located off of Lane Park Road, will be giving away free smoothies to the first 50 guests this morning. (Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce via Facebook)
3. Hoover officials broke ground this week on a new outdoor entertainment center in the city, featuring a stage, eatery, playground and much more. One and a half years in the making, it's expected to open by fall 2023. (6 WBRC)
