  1. The Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce and Chamber Discoveries are bringing back an October 2023 seven-night river cruise through Europe along the Danube River. More details are forthcoming in January. (Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce via Facebook)
  2. A warming station will be available due to freezing cold temperatures starting today through Dec. 25 at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex, with food provided. There's several other stations open throughout the region. (WVTM 13)
  3. Former Jefferson County Constable Jonathan Barbee has been arrested on ethics and tax fraud charges. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison. The charges reportedly include "willfully attempting to evade state income taxes" in tax years between 2018 and 2020. He was elected Constable of Jefferson County 48th District in 2016. (CBS 42)
