Here are the top three stories today in Mountain Brook:

1. Christopher Alexander, a junior at Mountain Brook High School, will be representing Alabama at the USA Special Olympics this month in Orlando. He will be competing in 400- and the 800-meter runs, in addition to the small javelin throw. He's competed at the state and local level before, but this is his first time nationally. 2. Canterbury United Methodist Church is putting on a benefit concert to support Ukraine on June 7, featuring the Side by Side Community Chorus. Part of the Encore Community Respite Program, the chorus primarily features adults with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and any other form of dementia. (Over the Mountain Journal)
3. Gordon Sargent, a Mountain Brook High School graduate and freshman at Vanderbilt University, won the 2022 NCAA Division 1 Men’s Golf Championship earlier this week. Last year, Sargent was recognized by USA Today for boy's golf. (Bham Now)
