MBHS Student Named Distinguished Young Woman Of Jefferson County
A rising senior at Mountain Brook High School was just named a 2022 Distinguished Young Woman of Jefferson County.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — A Mountain Brook High School student has been named a Distinguished Young Woman of Jefferson County for 2022. Rising senior Julianne Abenoja was given the honor at the Jefferson County Distinguished Young Women’s program at John Carroll Catholic High School Saturday evening.
Abenoja was one of 16 young women from Jefferson County to participate in the local program. The event featured five categories: interview, talent, fitness, scholastics and self-expression. Abenoja’s talent was Ballet Solo En Pointe (Gaîté Parisienne Variation, by Angela Walker).
In addition to her overall title, Abenoja was the overall winner in the fitness and scholastic categories. She was also an interview, self-expression and talent winner in the preliminary round.

Abenoja will represent Jefferson County at the 2022 Distinguished Young Women Program in Montgomery on January 21-22, 2022.
