- Gabe Young from Mountain Brook earned a spot in the Alabama Sports Writers Association's 2022 baseball All-State second-team. The results, which were released on Sunday, are based on submissions from sports writers and commentators across Alabama. (AL.com)
- Josh, a six-year-old African lion, was recently moved to the Birmingham Zoo from San Antonio, Texas. The Birmingham Zoo is part of a species-survival program, meant to increase the population of endangered animals across the world. The ultimate goal is to introduce Josh to the zoo's female lion, Akili. (Bham Now)
- Authorities are searching for a teenager from Birmingham, 17-year-old Brayden Butler, who was last seen on June 11, "wearing a gray hoodie, blue/orange t-shirt, and blue jeans." (ABC 3340)
- Up in Moody, police have arrested six people from Texas for attempting to steal cars from a lot in the city on Thursday morning. The six suspects are being held at the St. Clair County Jail. (AL.com)
