- The Mountain Brook City Council is meeting tonight at 7 p.m. You can view the meeting agenda and details at this link. Among other matters, the council will consider a resolution "authorizing the sale or disposal of certain surplus property." (City of Mountain Brook)
- The Alabama Department of Transportation plans to resurface a portion of I-65 running from Hoover into University Boulevard, this spring to be completed next summer. There's also an effort on the part of state leaders to make the roadway six lanes wide. (CBS 42)
- Another new restaurant opening! Emmy Squared Pizza, which serves up Detroit-style pies, is opening its first Alabama location at The Summit this spring. (Bham Now)
- McCallie Middle School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, defeated Mountain Brook in a tennis tournament, 7-2. "Every match was competitive as the Mountain Brook team was tough," the article notes. (The Chattanoogan)
