1. Below-freezing temperatures are likely to hit Mountain Brook and Central Alabama this Christmas weekend, with chills possibly colder than anything since 2018. Sporadic power outages are also possible. (AL.com)
2. Java Lewis, also known as "Mr. Painterman," is a Birmingham born-and-raised artist who has been busy painting holiday-themed pictures across the city, including one at Smith's Variety in Mountain Brook, according to a map. (Bham Now)
