- The Mountain Brook High School football team beat Jackson-Olin 48-0 on Thursday night. Not only was the game characteristic of Mountain Brook's strong defense, according to Village Living it was also the 400th in program history. Next Friday Mountain Brook hosts rival team Hoover. - Bow and Arrow – Stalk deer hunting begins in Jefferson, Shelby and Tuscaloosa counties, as well as others, on October 15th. The dates vary across the state and depending on the type of hunting in the 2022-23 season. CBS 42 has a map and diagram that breaks it all down. (CBS 42)
