  1. Councilors discussed fire safety at the latest Mountain Brook Council meeting. Many long driveways in the city aren't easily accessible for the fire department. They are considering changing the building code to ensure more protective measures are in place, including residential sprinkler systems. (Village Living)
  2. The Woolley Institute for Spoken-Language Education (WISE) is getting a permanent home. It will move to a permanent location in Meadow Brook. For the past decade the organization has been operating out of Mountain Brook churches.
