MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — For years one of the suggestions Mountain Brook residents have made to improve the city has been opening a dog park in the community, and thanks to a Mountain Brook teen, that has come to fruition.

Grayson Hydinger, 15, presented his idea of building the dog park to the Mountain Brook City Council for his Eagle Scout project, and after months of work, the park opened Tuesday.

Jemison Trail Dog Park is located behind the field at Mountain Brook Elementary near Jemison Trail, and includes gravel paths, benches for owners and a dog water fountain. Parking is on Heathermoor Road.
