1. Next Monday, the Halloween 'Mystics of Mountain Brook' parade will travel down Church Avenue starting at 2 p.m., during which time traffic will be restricted. More information on the parade can be found on its Facebook page. (Mountain Brook Police Department via Twitter)

• The Mountain Brook High School football team heads to Baker today for their last game of the regular season. Yesterday the volleyball team played at a state tournament that could guarantee them a place in semi-finals. (Village Living)
