Mountain Brook Homecoming: Parade Route Announced

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Homecoming Week at Mountain Brook High School continues Friday with the annual parade and the Spartans' game Friday night against 7A powerhouse Thompson.

The parade begins at 2:30 p.m. on the Overbrook side of Mountain Brook Baptist Church. It turns right onto Montevallo Road, left onto Church Street, left on Euclid Avenue and left on Dan Watkins Drive where it concludes.

Vehicular traffic on Church Street will be significantly impacted from 2 p.m. until approximately 3:30 p.m., according to an announcement from the Mountain Brook Police Department.

Beginning at approximately 2:15 pm, all traffic will be stopped from entering the parade route. Any vehicles parked in the public parking spaces on Church Street will be unable to leave until after the parade has ended.

The parade will begin at 2:30 pm. Once the parade is concluded, Church Street will remain closed until any debris has been swept from the roadway. However, traffic will be able to use both Vine Street and Oak Street as a detour.
