Here are the top three stories in Mountain Brook today:

  1. Two boys and one girl from Mountain Brook were the winners of the second annual Junior Regions Tradition golf tournament, which took place shortly before the senior pro final next Sunday. The two events are meant to bridge the gap between generations. The young golfers– Mac Johnsey, Denton Brooks, and Emma Kate Rice, will be recognized with the senior tourney victor on Sunday.   2. Students at Mountain Brook High School presented their final projects as part of an INCubatorEDU class. The winners, a group of four that came up with "Party Packs," a concept for "delivering theme party accessories to your door," will now compete against other young entrepreneurs for the chance to represent Alabama in Chicago this summer.(Mountain Brook Schools)
  3. Sons Donuts will be opening a second location in Mountain Brook this fall. The business, which specializes in small, freshly made doughnuts with special sugars, will also include an expanded coffee selection. (AL.com)
