- Gardendale won 29-28 against Mountain Brook High School's football team in a Friday matchup, pulling ahead in the last seconds of gameplay. Mountain Brook will wrap up the regular season in Baker this week. Head coach Chris Yeager thinks the loss, to a strong quarterback, will help prepare the team for postseason play. (Village Living)
