A Mountain Brook man was sentenced to two years and nine months in prison for cyberstalking

A Mountain Brook man was sentenced to two years and nine months in prison for cyberstalking and threatening to kill his former girlfriend.

Stephen Parks Lewis, 32, pleaded guilty to the cyberstalking charges in January, ABC 33/40 reported. U.S. Attorney Jay E. Town said Lewis "used Facebook, emails, text messages and voicemails to harass and threaten a young woman who broke off an abusive relationship with him, and when he could no longer find her, he turned his cyberstalking and cruel threats on her family. He even threatened to kill the woman who was dating his victim’s brother, as well as the woman’s 6-year-old child."

Lewis had threatened his ex-girlfriend of five years with harassment that would "continue forever," court documents show.
