  1. The home of construction executive and Mountain Brook local M. Miller Gorrie, the chairman of Brasfield & Gorrie, was vandalized last Friday by a group of Atlanta-based activists, according to Mountain Brook police. The activists are opposed to a fire and police training center in Atlanta's suburbs that would be built by Gorrie's company. (Subscription/The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  2. The City of Hoover is offering 170 spots of free RV parking near I-65 for people that are being evacuated from the path of Hurricane Ian, which is expected to make landfall in Florida on Wednesday night. (6 WBRC)
