  1. The Mountain Brook Police Department is holding a series of four community safety meetings next month, starting with Brookwood Baptist Church on Nov. 1. As described in a notification, "During these meetings it is our aim to educate our residents on criminal activity within the City, as well as provide a forum for open dialogue.   2. A man suspected of home burglary in Hoover's Greystone community has been identified by police as being part of a network of people committing burglaries across the country. The suspect is currently being held at a jail in Tennessee. (6 WBRC)
