  1. Natalee Holloway vanished 17 years ago Monday in Aruba, after graduating from Mountain Brook High School. A former suspect in her disappearance is currently serving a prison sentence for the murder of a woman in Peru. (WVTM13 Birmingham)
  2. CBS News Sportscaster Jim Nantz gifted his tie to Coe Murdock in 2013. Nine years later, Murdock wore it to his Mountain Brook High School graduation. The two have been in contact the whole time. Nantz has made a habit of giving away his ties – in fact you can even buy a tie named after him in support of Alzheimer's research. (Golfweek)
  3. Mountain Brook's population dropped by an estimated 251 people between 2020 and 2021. During that period, Alabama experienced the first time in recorded history that deaths outpaced births. (AL.com)
