  1. In case you missed it, the survey results given to Alabama residents during the Jun. 26 city council meeting highlight how happy residents of Mountain Brook are. According to reports, 99 percent of people who took the survey rated the town as an excellent/good place to raise a family, among the highest numbers. Mountain Brook rated 46 percent above the U.S. average and 52 percent above the U.S. average in customer service and city employees. (Village Living Online)
  2. As the temperature continues to rise in Alabama, residents of Mountain Brook report seeing more snakes enter their homes this season. According to Mountain Snake Removers owner Mark Hay - The areas of Mountain Brook and Chelsea are the biggest hotbeds for snakes. To avoid run-ins, he recommends Keeping your grass cut, carrying a flashlight when dark, never putting your hands or feet in places you can't see first, and calling a professional snake remover if you spot them.   3. Saraland senior Morgan Davis was named the Gatorade Alabama Girls Track & Field Athlete of the Year. This is the Alabama school's second Gatorade sponsor after Sophomore Ryan Williams was named the state's Gatorade Football Player of the Year.
