1. Mountain Brook High School seniors are "up to the challenge" that awaits them post-graduation. Despite enduring two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, the graduating class is characteristically "really fun," according to Principal Philip Holley. Meet graduating students Julianne Abenoja, Jacob Azrin, Isabel Smith and Amelia Tynes to learn about their plans for the future. (Village Living)
2. Mountain Brook High School's lacrosse team won a state championship this year. The team makes history with the first two Black coaches in Alabama - Kee'vin Staples and LaDarius Williams - to do so. (Spot On Alabama)
3. Workers at a Starbucks in Downtown Birmingham will vote on May 25 to determine whether they will become the latest store across the country to form a union. At least 30% of staff supported the move, according to a petition distributed earlier this month. (WBHM)
