- Mountain Brook High School seniors are "up to the challenge" that awaits them post-graduation. Despite enduring two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, the graduating class is characteristically "really fun," according to Principal Philip Holley. - Mountain Brook High School's lacrosse team won a state championship this year. The team makes history with the first two Black coaches in Alabama - Kee'vin Staples and LaDarius Williams - to do so. (Spot On Alabama)
- Workers at a Starbucks in Downtown Birmingham will vote on May 25 to determine whether they will become the latest store across the country to form a union. At least 30% of staff supported the move, according to a petition distributed earlier this month. (WBHM)
