Mountain Brook Spartans Prepare to Face Hoover Bucs

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — One of the 7A division's most hyped games comes to fruition this week. Mountain Brook opens up its regional play against the Hoover Buccaneers in Spartan Stadium on Friday.

The last time the Spartans bested the Bucs was in 2011, its only win against the regionals titans since 2000. Both teams are coming off of wins in week two, the Spartans against Helena 41-0 and the Bucs in an out-of-state matchup against Meridian 42-7. When the teams were pitted against one another last year, it was a battle of field goals that ended with a Hoover win, 19-3.
