New Board Of Directors Named As Advocates For Early Education
Childcare Resources, a Birmingham-based non-profit organization, has announced its executive officers and Board members for 2022.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — Childcare Resources, a Birmingham-based non-profit organization and United Way of Central Alabama partner agency, has announced its executive officers and Board members for 2022.
The leadership, including five new members, will continue to drive philanthropic endeavors to support the organization’s mission through strategic partnerships, donor relations, advocacy and strategic planning.
The executive officers and Board members for 2022 include:

- Chairman: Rick Morris (president, R2 Consulting, LLC)
- Vice Chair: Jenna Dorlon (manager of business development, American Express)
- Secretary: Liz Hyde (president, Hyde Engineering, Inc.)
- Treasurer: Jay Snipes (operations director/senior advisor, Bureau of Fiscal Service, Department of the Treasury)
- Past Chairman: Michael F. Walker (attorney, Bradley)
New members include:
- Albert Finch (senior vice president, Commercial Banking, Colony Bank)
- Lizzie Harbin (VP of Public Affairs, Communication, Education, and Human Relations, PCCA)
- Dr. William Hooper IV (assistant professor of Early Childhood Education, University of Montevallo)
- Lauren Leach (AVP, Planning and Population Health, UAB Medicine)
- Mary Smith (retired, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama)
"There are more than 40,000 eligible children in the state of Alabama without access to high-quality, affordable child care options and are missing out on resources vital to their development," Joan Wright, executive director of Childcare Resources said. "Thankfully, our Board leadership values Childcare Resources as a contributing solution to the gap in support for young families across our community and will champion efforts that help ensure all children receive the absolute best start in life."
