- A City Council meeting on Tuesday night include md a discussion on the issue of flooding on Overbrook Road. Some residents and stakeholders raised concerns that potential solutions could merely push the problem further downstream, to areas that haven't experienced flooding in the past, such as near the Canterbury United Methodist Church. - Mountain Brook Police hosted the first of several community meetings to discuss the most common crimes they are seeing around town–namely car and identity theft. The next meeting is today at 5:30 p.m. at the Cherokee Bend Elementary School cafeteria. (WBRC)
